This new distance learning
course, created in 2005, provides a comprehensive training in the principles and
practical application in the use of Essential Oils to PRACTITIONER LEVEL. The
course includes theory, the practical aspects practice, product preparation and
technical administration. The Diploma Course may be taken directly, or as a
continuation of the Basic Aromatherapy Course.**
Eligibility
There are no prerequisites
other than the completion of the Basic Aromatherapy Course if taken separately.
Duration
of Course
The duration of the course
averages two years, but students may set their own goals as they are not tied to
a lecture programme.
The course is also
available on CD Rom on request.

Course followed by: Body Systems and the Use of Essential Oils / Detailed Study
of 35 Essential Oils not covered in the Basic Course/ Detailed Study of 10
Carrier Oils / Antibiotics / Anti-fungal / Anti-viral Essential Oils / Cosmetic
Use / Recipes and Remedies for Common Conditions / Essential Oils and Pets /
Essential Oils as Insect Repellents / Safety / Interaction / Consultation and
Client Records / Contraindications / Creating Products / Sources and Resources.
Awards
The Diploma in Aromatherapy
is awarded on the successful completion of the course entitling the use of the
letters D Arom. An Aromatherapy Practitioner's Certificate is also
awarded. Diplomates are also eligible for the award of the Fellowship of the
British Institute (FBIH).
